Demo November 2026

Fervent: Sovereign Struggle is a dark, story-driven third-person action game set in a world where gods rule over all.

You play as one of the Apostles of O’Millah, sent on a divine mission to pass judgement on rival gods who stand against his divine word.

Blending stealth, narrated storytelling, and intense combat, Fervent challenges you to move with precision, strike with devout purpose, and survive encounters where exposure means death.

There is no Victory without Sacrifice.  There is no Action without Consequence. Every movement, every decision, and every encounter is part of a larger divine will that shapes the fate of the world.

The War of the Gods has begun.

Fervent Demo Update

2026/09/26

For a long time, most of what I've shared from Fervent: Sovereign Struggle has focused on the the environments, and atmosphere of the game.

That's beginning to change. I'm now preparing the first public playable demo of Fervent for early November 2026.

Getting to this point has meant shifting more of my attention from simply building the world to making sure it feels good to actually move through it, survive it, and experience the story within it.

You Are an Apostle — Not a God

One of the ideas I've been working to communicate more clearly through gameplay is the relationship between power and vulnerability.

In Fervent, you play an Apostle of O'Millah. Your purpose is to prepare the world for O'Millah's return from beyond the realm and the judgment that will follow.

But the gods already occupying this world possess power far beyond your own. An Apostle cannot simply walk into their territories and challenge them.

Sometimes survival means fighting.

Sometimes it means observing.

Sometimes it means remaining unseen.

That relationship is becoming increasingly important to the gameplay I'm building. Stealth isn't there simply because I wanted Fervent to have stealth mechanics. It belongs in the world because there are things within it that you are simply not powerful enough to confront head-on.

Mood First

Atmosphere continues to be one of the most important parts of Fervent.

I want entering a new territory to create a feeling before the game ever explains what happened there.

Isolation.

Tension.

Despair.

The feeling that something isn't quite right.

The environment, sound, Oracle narration, enemy placement, lighting, and gameplay all need to contribute to that feeling.

The upcoming demo is my first opportunity to bring those elements together and allow players to experience them rather than simply watch them in a trailer.

Why November?

Originally, I had considered releasing the demo around October, but I've decided to target early November, after Steam Next Fest.

This gives me a little more development time, but more importantly, it gives Fervent some breathing room.

I don't want to rush the demo simply to meet an event date. This will be many players' first opportunity to actually experience Fervent, and I want that first impression to represent the direction of the game.

Between now and November, I'll be sharing more of that process—including gameplay footage, environments, lore, and some of the design decisions behind the demo.

And after the demo?

The next major step will be Fervent: Sovereign Struggle — Prologue, which will begin the story itself.

There's still a lot of work ahead.

But we're getting very close to the point I've been working toward for a long time:

Putting Fervent into your hands.
